Manitoba Hal Brolund: It's early morning the day after the Winchester Ukulele Festival and I'm still feeling the love. Thank you to all the volunteers and staff of the festival and especially to Andy Martin for inviting me back. The entire lineup was marvellous and the green room catering was outstanding. You've all really grown up as a festival since the first one two years ago. I'm proud to have been a part of both. Special thank you to Christine Turner for handling the merch table duties in fine form. Zoë Bestel: Thanks so much for having me Winchester Ukulele Festival! It was so nice to be back and with such lovely weather and humans too Christine Turner: Another great festival, Winchester, well done to all who performed, organised etc. and thanks to those who kept me going with food and drinks. I really enjoyed performing with Mike, Caroline, Simon and special guest Paul! Got to play my banjo and Wunderkammer soprano in alternating songs so loads of practise changing tuning in my head, and clawhammer and picking. And the merch all added up right too. Success all round! Damn good fun! Jane For Tea‎: Thanks again for this amazing festival !! It was a real pleasure to meet all of you !! Such a Welcome !! All the best... Simon Fernand – Plastic Jeezuz: Thanks so much for having us yesterday. We really had a great time. Such lovely people (artists, volunteers AND audience!), a great set-up, great food and generally just a lovely, friendly atmosphere (that sugar pie was DELICIOUS! I'd love the recipe!). Sorry we didn't catch you before we had to dash. Simon Taylor: The sun is shining and I'm sitting at Cool Cat Ukes HQ with more great memories from Winchester Ukulele Festival again. I still pinch myself over how I've got involved with all these brilliant people, and how amazing it is to look out as part of the unplugthewood mid-festival sing along and look at so many happy, smiling faces singing along with us. That truly is a special feeling to experience, I choked up last night when talking about it. Gets me every time, I love it. Thanks again to Andy Martin for the festival and for the opportunity to do that along with Mike Krabbers & Caroline. Oh, and the green room grub was fantastic too. Brilliant hosts. Thank you again, what a brilliant, relaxed day. I'm always delighted to see so many happy faces. A Good Job. Keith Hicks: Just a note to say thanks for a brilliant Uke Festival. It was well organised, well attended, great acts and fantastic fun. We camped and that really added another dimension. Same again next year I hope. Please thank all involved in the hard work. Mike Coulson: Had WHALE of a time at Winchester Saturday! Glorious sunshine, food, drinks, loads of ukulele party animals (including some of the acts!) & some of the best ukulele specialists & entertainers in the world! Liz Short: Great festival again. Thank you for having us as guests, we had a blast. Bent Schmidt Hvidberg: It was fantastic to watch the different ukulele performances- a great show, and top tuned players! Marie O’Brien: Well done Andy - another festival completed - number three - so well done and the weather was fabulous - what a blessing. Of all the acts, three stood out as something to aspire to - if only!!!! - Jane for Tea (the French couple were upbeat and excellent), Manitoba Hal (a slimmer man with a great act) and Strumdidlyumptious (well, they are simply fabulous and getting better and better, they rocked the place) - all three were great. Of course Andy Eastwood is also entertaining and skilled. Well done to the whole team for all the effort and work, preparation and aftercare - it's a big venture which I do hope you are pleased and happy with - now rest, if you can and start all over again next year. Well done. MX Peter Bestel: Winchester Ukulele Festival was bloody marvellous once again. Well done to everyone involved. Linda Poynter: Well Done everyone who worked so hard to put together such a great event. Gill Simpson: I just wanted to say a massive THANK YOU and well done to you and ‘The Team’ for arranging such a fantastic WUF. I thoroughly enjoyed the day (and evening), especially the workshop with Andy Eastwood (and his performance later) and the magnificent Scrumdidlyumptious. How fabulously energetic they were! I can only imagine how much work went into the organisation of this event and I am sure that you must all be delighted at how well the day went and the number of people that attended. A truly marvellously, splendidly, amazing event. Well done all Sheila Woods: We had a great time a big thank you to all who worked so to make this event so successful.
